What This Extension Does

Brainrot Translator is a browser extension that rewrites visible text on webpages into internet-slang equivalents (e.g. "good" → "bussin") for entertainment purposes. All rewriting happens directly in your browser.

What Data We Collect

None. Brainrot Translator does not collect, log, sell, or transmit any personal data, browsing history, or page content to us or to any third party. There are no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no external servers involved in the extension's operation.

How Data Is Stored

The extension saves your own preferences — which vocabulary packs are enabled, the intensity slider value, which sites it should run on, and any custom words you add — using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage API. This data:

• Stays on your device (or syncs across your own signed-in Chrome profile, via Google's standard Chrome Sync — the same mechanism used for bookmarks and other browser settings)
• Is never sent to any server operated by us
• Is never shared with or sold to third parties

Permissions We Use, and Why

• storage — to remember your settings between browsing sessions.
• Host permissions (access to webpages) — required so the extension can read and rewrite visible text on the pages you've enabled it for. This access is used only for that purpose and only within your own browser; page content is never read by, or sent to, us.

Third Parties

This extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing services.

Children's Privacy

This extension is a general-audience novelty tool and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
